If Love Makes Kingdoms: Poetry by Diane Maietta

The great wealth that is the truth of your richness as a creation should fill your heart with a kingdom of priceless joy and beauty.

Let Love be the kingdom of who you are and inspire others to the same.

Many Valentine wishes to You.  XOXO

If Love Makes Kingdoms

This world is made of only two—

The love inside this kingdom with you.

An incomprehensible wealth of unimaginable joy

Is the treasure within my breast…

Partners in crime we are: stealing each other’s hearts.

I claim the invisible fortune that speaks silently on your mouth;

I drown in the breathless devotions of your desires,

And quietly realize a silent knowing that becomes my peace.

My life genuflects at the altar of your beauty and truth,

As I am colored in the world, bare—

Glistening in the ecstasy of infinite wonder…

Rich beyond equitable measure.

If love makes Kingdoms…

Let me lay my all behind me,

And become the Word of a precious, sacred heart

Where the empire of sublime bliss

Graces all my nights,

And fills my soul to the brim,

Running over in the providence

Of countless moments recreating me—

With only your unending kiss

At the liberty of anticipation

That rests upon my lips.
