A Mandala of Love
My Universe of Valentine
“Love is misunderstood to be an emotion. It is a state of awareness,
a way of being in the world, a way of seeing one’s self and others.”
– Dr. David R. Hawkins
Love is the only topic of discussion this week of the year: The Feast of Saint Valentine says that it is so…and my being a romantic poet will bear witness and testify to the power of it within me.
This is my lyrical-mandala valentine to the power and truth of Love…
Love is my guiding light, the word of me, the very kingdom of my Heart. As corny as it may sound, the power of Love is what lifted me up when I was so very, very down. I would be nothing without Love’s unconditional mercy.
Love is the air that I breathe, the water that I drink, the nourishment I take within to feed my Soul.
Love colors the blossoms of energy: the wheels of balance that romance my devotions along the rivers of electricity igniting each nerve ending up and down my spine. My chakras are on fire with daydreams of evolving inspiration, rich with romantic journeys of the mind.
And in these howling-wind, cold days and nights of Love’s February depth, I see the warmth that is brilliant, on the other side of Winter’s provocations in the star of the Sun, ninety-three million miles away…yet, magnetizing my wonder with a constant warmth burning within my breast.
The wealth of my being is Love—
Love fills my empty hands with the auras of peace, the devotions that feed my pen and the delirious, insatiable craving of my, poetic and erotic soul for Love’s words as they write with me…filling my body with love affairs yieldingly supreme…
Love has got me and is under my skin.
And when viewing the orchestration of Love’s beauty, filling each night sky with the billions of stars yet for me to wish on, my heart opens wide to receive the Muses that Love sends to me:
The heartbeat of the Universe…the heartbeat of the Earth…the heartbeat of my Spirit and they become my silent prayers as I lay me down to sleep.
Love is my peaceful kingdom, the mandala branding my Soul.
Peace, Love and Om—and Happy Valentine’s Day.
