Original Blessing: Poetry By Diane Maietta

Always hold fast to your inner strength and do what you know is right no matter the challenges ahead of you.

Original Blessing

On the shore of Genius’s great wonder

That time cannot define—

On the sound-waves of cosmic thunder

Rumbling; ferment the holy wine,

And drink the Wisdom.  Love and thought

Together know the place:

Unfold the beauty of all you’ve sought

Behind your heart and face.

On the edge of Majestic Emotion

Passing before thine eyes

On the edge of soundless devotion

Tumbling: sweet liquid to baptize

Chafed illusions—black and blue;

No martyr will I be:

What is this blessing in the dew

The moon left you and me?
